The new Golf Digest 2015 "America's 100 Greatest Public Courses" list was formally introduced in the magazine's February issue. You can see the entire new list here: http://logoballtraveler.com/top-100-lists.html.
To summarize, eighteen courses are new to the list which means eighteen course fell off. This is a massive change! As a comparator, the change in Golf Magazine's list from September 2012 to 2014 was just a total of six. Not only were there changes in the courses comprising the list, there were huge moves. Bulle Rock improved 33 places, moving from #78 to #45. Pinehurst #8 improved 23 places from #80 to #57. At the other end of the spectrum was Osprey Meadows which moved from #32 to off the list altogether. Likewise, Promontory, The Ranch Club (Dye Course) moved from #48 to off the list and Mattaponi Springs from #50 to off the list. Huge moves!
For my Quest, there was no change in the number of courses I need to play (still 23) as the six courses I have yet to play from the 2013 list were replaced by six others I have yet to play on the 2015 list. The good news is that I have already played 12 of the courses new to the list.

Golf Digest List Compared to Golf Magazine List
The differences between the Golf Magazine and Golf Digest lists have always amazed me. There is a 26 course difference in the two lists; that is, there are 26 courses on each list not on the other list. This shows how subjective is the selection process for these lists even though among the top 20 or so on each list, except for minute differences in the order, the lists are just about the same.
Perhaps the biggest mystery to me is the lack of a single Arizona course on the Golf Digest list while there are seven Arizona courses on the Golf Magazine list.
So now we'll wait 18 months or so to see the next changes and attempt to knock a few more off towards The Quest during that wait.
